Cool Looking to buy 2003-2007 350z Convertible is 2007 worth the$3,000 differene

hi,
guys so im looking to buy a covertible 350z 03-04 are really cheap i found a great black one fully loaded 2004 with 65k miles for $12,000 i also been looking at some 2006 with about same miles they are about $2,000 more i know they have the new headlights/tail lights and then the 2007 w/ HR motor for about $3,000 more is it really worth the difference in money??? please write back with answers looking to buy this weekend! i dont care to to much about the speed as long as its a quick car as i will not be doing many more mods then maybe just intake, i do love the dual intake though. ?? I am more worried about looks will the 04 look outdated not with led taillights or xeon headlights im comming over from a 2006 m35 sport really dont want to look outdated now is the difference in looks that much, and better worth the $2-3k more?

Dude just the idea of having a car thats 4 years newer is worth the extra 3k.

With that being said, the HR is everything the DE is plus much more, better looks, more power, more standard features. It's a no brainer to me.

Why go from a 2006 car to a 2003-2004 car? 06 to 07 makes much more sense.

Good luck!

thanks man i mean i found a 2004 fully loaded 65k miles for $12k or a 2007 fully loaded with 70k miles for $15,900 maybe could get it for $15,000 if lucky or $15,500. What gets me thinking is like is pretty much the same car same miles why spend the extra money lol just gets me like grrrrrrr is it worth it??

HR are much better. Better looks, performance. And engines respond better to mdding if you decide to go that route.

The HR is worth the extra 3K only if the car has the 5AT. I'd pass on any MT HR because of the CSC issues.

If the car was already fixed there shouldnt be a problem. And if it hasnt then its a recall and Nissan will fix it at no charge.

MT is the way to go.

Not at all, go with HR. I had an '05 DE and now an '07 HR and HR is much much better.

As everyone has stated, go with the 2007. I have personally owned a 2003 and now a 2007. Better engine, more cup holders(this is actually a big deal.) better suspension, newer car obviously, stereo controls if you don't get a base, upgraded headlights and tail lights. Everything about it is sleeker, more refined. Trust me, I realize how much I missed out the first time around by purchasing a 2003. At 15,000 get the 2007. I paid 17,500 for my touring model with 59,000 miles.

What it comes down to is condition.. Are you going to want one owned by 5 other people. I generally buy 2 owner vehicles at most. If you look at the history odds are there is a reason why they sold it after only 6 months etc.

I also wouldn't ever buy a vehicle that was modded. To me that's just asking for trouble as it could've been tracked and raced more.

Oh and one more thing, wait until after the New Year (if we're all still alive). If you wait until after the new year. The 07 will be considered another year older so they'll be dropping the prices down. Don't rush for something because it has nice wheels or subs already. Get a clean stock car, for sure, FOR SURE, I cannot stress this enough, FOR SURE RUN A CAR FAX. I was stupid and foolish and bought the 2003 I had without doing so. When it came time to sell my car, the dude who bought it ran a car fax and there was five owners. No wonder why my 03 was a pos. Starting issues, motor mounts were facked, eventually started burning oil, tires were being feathered like no other. Please do your research over the Z. Every year has either something wrong, or something that's an improvement. As of now, if I was you. Wait for the next year, look at big dealers, if the Z is in a little shing ding lot, do not even look at it. Only purchase from a reputable dealer, make sure you see the car fax, ask for some type of warranty or have them write you a contract that states that if anything goes wrong mechanical wise within a month or so that you can return the car. Trust me, the last thing you want is to be stuck financing x amount of money and the car sitting because it's messed up and you don't have money to fix it. Just my .02.
