About to buy a new Z. Have questions.
To make it short and sweet, I'm looking at a 2006 350Z Touring Automatic with 51,xxx miles for 17k. However, I need some input on whether or not I should buy a car that has been reported in an accident. The AutoCheck doesn't tell me specifics on it and I don't know how to go about getting them really, but I will be seeing a dealer tomorrow about the car.
What do you Z owners think about the situation?

$17k and have accident history = NO THANKS!
I would never buy a car that is over $5k that has accidents on them. Even if it was a Lambo that has accident history and cost $15k. I won't buy it, unless I can make profits out of it :P
Look else where. Or buy mine!

Sometimes the carfax/autocheck will list the phone number of the police department as well as the case number. My previous Z was listed as being in an accident, after making a couple phone calls and getting the info on the report, turns out it was just a minor bump that resulted in the front bumper being partially repainted - i.e. no damage other than a paint scrape.

Thanks for the replies, guys! After further research I also found the car had a lien reported, so I will definitely be passing on this car. However, there is another dealership in my area with a red 06 enthusiast with no accidents or liens reported. The price and miles on this one is $14,991 and 77k miles on it. I would love a manual transmission but I have found manual just really isn't for me. I don't know if we're allowed to link to postings, but if not I can remove it. This is the car I'm looking at now.
Also, I probably should have added that I'm trading in my 10 civic (I had to get it due to a certain situation and had a very small time frame to do so) and the value is around 10-11k from what I understand.
