Default Buying Z

I am looking to buy 2005 Z but wanting to get feedback if this is a good/bad year. Any transmission or oil consumption issues with this model year. What to be leery of?

The last thread you created said to stay away from 2005. Why ask the same question again?

2004-2004.5 or 2007-2008

Use the search and google.

I bought a 2004.5 and can't be happier with it. Minus the driver window motor it's perfect.

Just stay away from 2006 and up-rev motor.

Ok. Thanks for reply. So does the 287 hp engine in earlier years 03-05* ( non- AE and Track models) not have the oil consumption issues or any issues with this engine to beware of

Generally no, really there should be no issues.

Only ones I know if is the window motors can go. This happened to me, and look at the tires to see if there is feathering. That's about it.

I would buy one with a clean title and that has not been modded.

Simple semantics. Either way I would never own one.
