wear n tear on 350z
Looking for buying my first real car, looking at 350z. i did some looking around and found:
-03 enthusiast 35km (21mi) in town at dealership for 18,500$
-03 Performance 129km (80mi) out of town sold privately for 12,500$
Both really clean, with no problems and well cared for.My question is, at what point should i be worried about high Kms/Miles and engine/tran breaking?
Thank-you for any advise/help,new to the forums, hopfully be a Z owner soon

To start with,a factor is how many miles do you drive per year?By the sound of
your post, you do not have a "many car" experience. Also, even in the U.S.,prices will
vary for a Z.I now the exchange rate in Canada(last I looked)was a bit stronger than the U.S. dollar. However, the prices you quoted are awfully high.To pay 18k for a 03 is
absurb.I don't care if it has low miles. Also, its a base model. If the performance model
at 80k was well maintained and you drove the average miles per year, this may be a good deal.Being a private owner,I'd offer 11k and go from there. There are many 350Z's
going strong at 200k.I'm thinking the 80K car may have some mods. The one at 20k was
probably owned by some old guy that drove it on weekends...bone stock.Factor in insurance too.

18K for the 2003 is way too high. However, 12.5K is quite regular. Sports cars are always over priced here.

Absurd price
That is just way too high- I bought my 2008 Grand Touring in October 2011, it had 38,000 kilometers, headers, injen cold air intakes, megan coilover suspension and I paid $25,000. I live in Ottawa and bought it in Vaughn, just north of Toronto, and it was from a dealership. I would definitely be looking elsewhere, don't get taken to the cleaners!
