People are paying over MSRP!!!!
There were 7 Z's delivered today to a dealer in tha area and there was a redline that someone had backed out on and had for sale with a markup. The markup was 1000 for limited availability, 3000 for chrome wheels and 1600 for CD changer. Get this the chrome wheels where going to be the 18" wheels that come with it (Touring 6MT), that were going to be chrome plated and the CD changer is the one you can get from Nissan for 550!!!!
The funny part is that someone took it, the car was there just for a few hours, it was someone that had bought a preorder and wanted a second one, he probably didn't mind because he probably paid that much or more for the first one, this is the first dealer I called back in February and told me 7K to 10K over MSRP and I hung up, the worst part is that it is an Autonation dealer who adversizes on their web site that you can get your Z for MSRP.
I feel sorry for people that will want a Z over the next few months while there are clowns like this paying that much over.

I've seen several Zs advertised by non-Nissan dealers in the Chicago area for sometimes up to 10k over MSRP. That's right, 10k over. A-holes are really trying to capitalize on these cars before people get educated. There are a LOT of dumb people out there, not to mention people with plenty of money to throw around just to get the latest "thing". I almost had a heart attack when I saw a Performance model advertised at 39k!!!

There is a PPW Auto Touring at a Mercury dealership here in Houston selling for $44,500! Can you believe that crap? They have it displayed in front of the lot on a display rack. You can see it clearly from the frontage rd and highway in front of the dealership. I see it every morning on my way to work.
