Pads to use with the Porter Cable 7424
I have a Porter Cable 7424 and i have slight swirls in my paint. I currently use 3m swirl remover and it works pretty decent but never used it with a PC. Would you use the 3M with there pad they recommend for a superblack 350z or is there another product and a different pad.
Basically im worndering for a SB 350z:
swirl removal: pad(application, and removal), and product
polish: pad(application, and removal), and product
wax: pad(application, and removal), and product
remmeber its for a PC 7424 thank you!

The most highly recommended ones are from:

Get Yellow pads for cutting (compound), White for polishing (swirl removal) and Black for finishing (waxing).
Check out http://autopia.org for info on using the PC polisher as well as recommendations on products.

Use the pads to apply and use a Microfiber or a DF Towel to remove/buff the wax.
After you use the 3M SMR, you probably want to use something like the 3M Hand Glaze before applying wax. Depending on what you use for wax/polish you may want to do it by hand. I, like many others here use Zaino and do it all by hand. A machine wastes too much of the Zaino and it comes off so easy there's really no need for the PC.
You might want to look into the Zaino system, the Z-5 polish works to hide fine scratches and swirls. Occasional uses of it will keep them to a minimum while you can use the Z-2 for normal polishing.

There are many diff pad manufacturers for the PC. I have yet to use a cutting pad since it seems to be to abrasvie for my tastes
Some of the ones I use are:
Meguiars 8006 polishing
Meguiars 9006 finishing
Lake Country also makes some nice pads.
I also here that the new Sonus PC pads are very nice as well.
You can pick up the Sonus pads at:
Autopia Car Care
Lake County Pads from :
Pakshak
Meguiars pads:
Meguiars.com
Don't use the white polishing pad that came with the Porter Cable. Its a piece of crap.
Hope it helps..
