Does your Zaino-ed car collect dust???
Mine does... maybe the air is super filthy here in Long Beach, but man... my car is just covered in dust! Anybody else have this problem?

i third that notion... after spending almost 7 hours working on that zaino finish, i drove it the next day to church only to come home, park it in the garage, and find an obvious layer of dust all over my car.. ouch.. gotta do it over again.. crap
yes zaino does collect dust.. any polish or wac out there will.. the thing about zaino is that it just wont collect dust as fast as other waxes and polishes but there way too much pollena dn dust in the air for the car not to collect dust. Whta I do is if it gets really dusty(not dirty) I'll either spay it off with high pressure wash and dry it or i'll use my california duster and "tickle" the paint so that it'll lift the dust off.. after that if there are any wax streaks from the duster left, i'll just spray the car with z6.. All this sounds like a task but it really doesnt take long at all
I'll concur with the others. I'd have to say that Zaino does attract dust in my garage as well... and I would say moreso than my Jeep used to with regular wax or unwaxed.
However, I've also noticed that light dusting takes most of the dust off the surface... as does a quick blast down the highway!

If you had no wax or polish on the car it would still collect dust. With Zaino the dust doesn't stick. A quick use of the California Duster and a little Z-6 and it looks like it was just polished. If we sat still all day, we would collect dust too.
A Zaino-ed car (like any car you just rubbed the heck out of) will collect dust due to the static electricity you just created. Driving the car also creates a static charge as the air flows over the surface I would think.
I do exactly what you guys do, I dust lightly with my California duster and then slap on some Z-6. The "wax" contained in the duster is actually parafin. I guess technically it is a wax but not the kind you'd do your car with. It rubs out pretty easily after you dust.

I've had the same issue with zanio in the past with the dust. It got really bad one morning when I dusted off the car and used some Z-6. I went back in to get ready for work and when I came out my whole car was a dust magnet!
! By the time I got to work one of the guys I work with though I took sprayed glue on my Z and drove through a dustly trail.
I'm here to say that Blackfire has some flaws but one thing I have noticed is that it absolutely, positively does not one bit attract dust!

Gravity dictates that dust will fall where it falls. I don't think there's any realistic way to avoid it. The thing Zaino et al. claim to have going for them is that dust won't stick. For example, I left my car out in the wind a couple nights ago (only a couple miles from Long Beach) and there was a *ton* of dust sticking to my car. It looked like Pig Pen from Peanuts. I think that's due to static charge. The next night, after I had applied synthetic wax (Mother's Reflections brand), there was only a tiny bit of dust, which my microfiber towl swept right up.
mine might collect dust if there wasnt already a 3" thick layer of dirt on it... damnit, it was washed 10 days ago.... I didnt have a chance this weekend. but Im washin it tomarrow. SOOO dirty.
I can concur with the Dust on a freshly Zaino'd 350Z. I Do the california duster bit and follow up with Z6 or Meguiars Quick Detailer (dependind upon how stingy I feel - man that Z6 adds up...)...
Ever since getting my Z I have grown to love car washing again...

You should get about 16-32 applictaions of Z-6 per bottle. If you aren't you are using too much. A way to make the Z-6 more economical is to mix it 50/50 with distilled water to use for the light cleaning.
