Default Zaino or Klasse for Winter application?

I would like to protect my redline but it's not going to get past the low 40s for a while - at best. Can I Zaino using ZFX around 40F or would Klasse (which supposedly works down the the mid 30's) be a better idea for now? Thanks for any advice...

I have Zainoed down to 32 without a problem. The only exception would be that Z-1 would dry very slowly when that cold, ZFX or Z-2 or Z-5 by themselves would not have that big of a problem drying however.

Thanks Kevin... I'll likely use the ZFX since the less time I am out freezing my butt off the happier I'll be. One more question though. Do I need to add the ZFX each time I apply a layer or only for the first go-around with Z-5? Appreciate the help!

You do not need to add ZFX each time if you do not want to or do not want the advantages of ZFX at that given time period. You should however use ZFX activated polish on the first application and then once per 6 months on a daily driven car.

I know Klasse is good for lighter colored cars, but if it were me, I'd go with BlackFire. Good protection, long lasting, and looks great! I like the carnauba look for my black baby, and Blackfire gives me that look.

Kevin... If I just use Z-5 without ZFX with temps around 38-44 should I just let the car sit with the haze drying for 24 hours before buffing and then putting on the next Zaino layer. Also, can I just clean the car with Z-6 if it's been out but only for a short ride before applying another Z-5 or Z-2 layer? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for all the anwers...

Yes, many Zaino users put the polish on in a garage and let the car set 24 hours and then come back and rub off the polish, many like this as it is a causal way of car polishing, that is one of the great things about Zaino, unlike a wax that gets harder to remove the longer it stays on the paint, Zaino can set for a day, week, month, etc. and it will come off just as easy as ever.

Z-6 is made to clean very light dust from driving, but since I have a black car, I take no chances on getting dust caught in my towel while Z-6ing, what I do is run a California Car Duster over the car first to remove the loose dust and then Z-6 away.

Thanks Kevin... I was a bit disappointed at my 2.5 coats of Z-2/Z-5 on my redline but I figured that more would be better. I think I am suffering from Zaino envy. It's too cold to wash but the car is still spotless from the last wash so I thought why not just add some non ZFX applications and let them sit. I'll make sure the car is clean and change towels/applicators in mid application to make double sure, but I'll get another 5 layers down in the next two weeks - the weather be damned! Thanks for your help... Art
