Default Microfiber = sandpaper?

Do I just own crappy microfiber towels, they are from costco, so they are no expensive high quality microfibers. It feels like i'm just scratching the surface every time I run them across the surface. On glass its a joke getting them to glide across and give a clean finish. Do I just need higher quality microfibers or is this normal?

I use the yellow Costco ones. I think they are really nice, very thick. Another SB here, I don't have problems with it.

I have SB and use the microtex ones from walmart, and they work wonders on the finish. They leave no lint or scratches, but i agree they arent the best for windows. One 4'x2' towel will dry the entire car too.

Get rid of them. I will throw mine in the trash soon. I just tried to polish my beater's paint, and a whole bunch of swirls just ruined my paint as well. I was thinking maybe it was also because i dried them HOT, and that is not allowed with MF.

I have used these on my PPW and i could also see swirls.

Before you use any Microfiber towel...wash it in the washing machine w/o any softener.

Guys i just figured out the towels were not the problem. I was wrong.

I have polished the surface with Turtle Wax Polish Compound. Turns out that stuff is very abbrasive.

Well, I use the giant microtex microfiber sort of like a chamios, but I notice that I am getting some fine surface scratches, I don't really want to use the blower method and I do have a water blade, any of you guys have some advice for me as a safe alternative to micros?

Buy a higher quality towel is the best advice for not scratching.

You have to be extremely careful laundering the towels as well.....no powdered detergents, and no fabric softeners. If you dry them on high heat in the dryer they will have a static charge...that is really the only downside to high heat.

I have a couple of the DF microfiber towels and although expensive they are great. I just ordered some Sonus microfiber towels so I'll let everyone know how those work.
