Default Zaino directions

I think we need someone with at least minimal writing skills to rewrite the Zaino directions on his website. I've read it three times now and it's just starting to make sense because it's so poorly written.

"If using Z1 Or Z2 or the optional Z5. Then use Z-6 or Z18 and use Dawn but make sure it's over 60 degrees and apply sparingly."

Or something like that. Good grief !

I didn't mean for that to sound like it did. I think that if all the products didn't start with a "Z" it may be easier to read. While reading it I made notes for myself to sum it up.

Assuming that:
- You haven't applied Zaino before.
- You have a car with clear coat.
- Use the ZFX accelerator.

1) Wash car with Dawn.
2) Clay the car using 1/2 capful of Z7 & 12oz of water in spray bottle as lube.
3) Wash with Z7 and dry.
4) For this next step you may want to subsitute Z5 for the Z2 on the first application because it hides swirl marks better.
- Mix 1-2 oz. of Z2 with 4-5 drops per once of ZFX.
- Shake for 60-90 seconds.
- Let set for 5 min.
- Shake for 10 sec before using.
5) Dampen applicator slightly using water or Z6.
6) Squirt dime sized dab of mixture on applicator.
7) Apply very thinly using cirular motion and then over same area going front to back on top and up and down on the sides.
8) Allow to haze. About 20 min. Check using finger, it should not smudge.
9) Buff with cotton towel.
10) Apply mist of Z6 in small sections and buff in before drying with clean cotton towel.
11) Return to step 5 up to 2 times in 12 hours.
12) Be sure to clean out the container that has the ZFX/Z2 mixture when finished using dawn.

That seems to be the readers digest version.

I will adjust your routine slightly:

1) Wash car with Dawn.

correct

2) Clay the car using 1/2 capful of Z7 & 12oz of water in spray bottle as lube.

correct

3) Wash with Z7 and dry.

correct

4) For this next step you may want to subsitute Z5 for the Z2 on the first application because it hides swirl marks better.
- Mix 1-2 oz. of Z2 with 4-5 drops per once of ZFX.
- Shake for 60-90 seconds.
- Let set for 5 min.
- Shake for 10 sec before using.

correct

5) Dampen applicator slightly using water or Z6.

correct

6) Squirt dime sized dab of mixture on applicator.

correct

7) Apply very thinly using cirular motion and then over same area going front to back on top and up and down on the sides.

It is better to use back and forth motions on the top surfaces of the car and up and down motions on the sides, avoid using circular motions.

8) Allow to haze. About 20 min. Check using finger, it should not smudge.

correct

9) Buff with cotton towel.

correct

10) Apply mist of Z6 in small sections and buff in before drying with clean cotton towel.

correct

11) Return to step 5 up to 2 times in 12 hours.

That is fine.

12) Be sure to clean out the container that has the ZFX/Z2 mixture when finished using dawn.

Yes, I use denatured alcohol myself, I find it cleans better.

You can also use Z-8 now as you would use Z-6 for more shine, more slickness, and more durability and reflection and wettness.

Dr. Bonz is not on call tonight, he's on vacation at ZDayZ. (See him below, at ZDayZ, doing the "Zaino Shuffle".) Dr. Overall has, over all, answered the question very accurately. Dr. Bonz will, I am sure, be back on duty early next week. Thank you very much.

Oh, he's back on duty alright. I drove all night and got home Sunday AM.

I assume he is referring to my tutorial when he says it was "poorly written". I don't know that I could have made it any simpler and no one has ever really complained about how I did it before.

I mean, it's like a cookbook. Just follow the steps. If you have any questions just ask.

No, Bonz, I think he's complaining about the FAQ at Zainostore.com. I don't think this guy ever found your protocol. ken350z, search for "Zaino protocol" and look for posts by Dr Bonz.

Never mind, here is is:

My Bad!

"I think we need someone with at least minimal writing skills to rewrite the Zaino directions on his website"

I misread this sentence. I thought he said "THIS" website, not "HIS" website.

Sorry.

I don't know how but I DID miss the Doc's Zaino Protocol thread. I was talking about the Zaino website and not his thread which, of course, is pretty good.
