yea 1 ounce is too much. a layer should be at most half an ounce, if not less. i can usually do two coats on the paint, and 1 layer on the wheels and windows with 1 ounce.

That is definitely too thick. Just for reference I did 3 coats of Z5 this weekend with 1/4 oz. I believe 1/4 ounce is plenty for the average sized car to do 3 coats.

1/4 oz for 3 full coats?? Yea i dunno about that, i was trying to use as little as possible for each coat but it didnt look like i was putting anything on the car with such little wax. I had gotten the stuff from a friend and had a 2 oz bottle of the stuff, which was about 3/4ths full and put 3 coats on. Hmm i dont know, i keep my car outside all the time unfortunately so im looking for something that will give me the best protection and longevity, but in my experiences the NXT wax was much much easier to apply and buff.

Yeah, I don't think even the Doc gets that thin.

I try to get three layers out of about 2/3rds of a bottle and I think that's pretty thin.

Are you doing the door openings, around the rear hatch, the wheels, muffler, etc?

The reason you are having problems with application and removal is because it is too thick! LOL

Ask Kevin on here....or even ask Sal and he will tell you 1/4 ounce is enough to do 3 coats on a vehicle the size of a F-body or a Z.

A thicker coat of Zaino does not enhance protection or anything else....you are just wasting product. Trust me

Once the applicator gets saturated the Zaino will go a LOOOONG ways on coats 2 and 3.

2/3 of the bottle is a little under 1 and a 1/4 ounces....you really have to be slopping it on to use that much. When I do mine.....that is all body panels, wheels, and all glass surfaces.
