mothers polish/blue magic safe on clearcoat rims?!
I've been doing a search, the information is still not clear too me. Some people have said that mothers polish works perfectly fine and then I read another thread saying that the product will destroy the clearcot, what the!!!! I even posted up a thread about using blue magic and i got one response with the guy saying don't use it but then I see in another thread that its perfectly safe to get the blemeshis out. I need some feedback guys...
I use Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish. It works great on my machined rims. (paraphrase--->)The jar states that it isn't for painted surfaces and that after you apply it, if it doesn't turn black to immediately remove it to avoid damage. I suppose clearcoat would fall under the paint category.
I don't know anything about blue magic.

No you can not, mother's aluminium polish is for metals only. Clear coated wheels are no different then the clear coat on your car's body. Mother's had a special polish for clearcoated wheels, but I think it got discontinued, that's what I use. What you'll need to use is a paint polish on your wheels.
