Default water seeping into cabin

hey guys, not sure if this should go under repairing or cleaning section, but since its cleaning related i'll just post it here.

but anyways, about 3 months ago i washed my car and afterwards i had a puddle of water in the passenger's leg area. i was pissed, and i figured i didn't completely roll up my windows..fine..(my fault) i dried it and every since then i didn't wash my car until this past sunday, i double checked all the windows this time because i remembered what happened last time, and they were all the way up. they did that window tucking thing when u close the door (which means its up) then i noticed that there was water in the passenger's leg are again! wtf?

where could water come in from, im sure all the weather seals are good, i checked them, no cracking, no folding..help. thanks

The problem is serious. Water inside the car will rot the carpet and rust the floor. Both are expensive to fix. I recommend that you get the car to a trusted shop now.

I agree....

Tell them to do a ""leak-down"" Test....
Goodluck!

I can understand why you are angry. Water leaks are difficult to find. It seems logical that water enters at one particular point, then flows DOWN (gravity). But having some experience with boats, water can move along a rail UPHILL and defy logic.

I wish you the best getting this problem fixed.

im thinking when they replaced my passenger window motor they didn't calibrate the window tucking correctly and the window doesnt completely tuck under the window frame? but i didnt see any sign of the door panels wet .

and the other thing is i got my motor replaced recently, and is there something they forgot to put back, maybe they forgot a seal from the firewall and when water gets to it, it'll seep through the seal?

The leak is coming from your Firewall where you battery wires go into the car, take apart the pannels and you will see a wire boot, pry is spliced .
