Default Ugh..Dealership sticker on rear bumper!

How can I remove this dealership logo from my Z's rear bumper w/o damaging the paint?? This is one of those stickers that just cant be peeled off, it is ON there! Will Goo Gone work??? Im not getting paid to advertise for them, and besides it looks tacky. Someone help me out!

Heat it with a hair dryer first and gently remove it. Any sticky residue left can be removed using goo gone and a soft towel. Be sure to only use Goo Gone not Goof Off that will remove paint. After be sure to clean the area with soap and water.

I feel the same way. YOU paid them, not the other way around. Why the hell do they think you want to sport their name on your car!? The same goes with the license plate frame with the dealership name and ph#

Simple. Have the dealer do it.

I told the dealer when I bought the car that if it had a sticker on it when I took delivery I'd be taking my buisness elsewhere.

You can also use WD40 if you have that sitting around and no goo gone. Doesn't hurt paint, but I wash it right off, not sure if you left the WD40 on for weeks if it would hurt.

Yep, I made them take it off before I drove my car off the lot.

yeah I'd be pissed too. but at the same time I wouldn't let the dealer take it off. in fact I'd even request that they don't wash/detail it prior to delivery. you **** guys should see the stuff they use at dealerships to detail cars prior to delivery. we're talking about buckets of soap and water that are used for more than a day on multiple cars. rags and chamois that are old and full of dirt and crap from falling on the ground. I've even seen them using paper towels to dry a new car before. of course most customers take even worse care of their cars, but its still sick to watch.

I ordered my Z and gave the salesman a list of "demands", two of which were 1) no dealer badges, stickers, etc. 2) don't wash it when it arrives.

He called to tell me the day it arrived that he warned them about the sticker and the wash job. The next morning, sure enough, no sticker, no wash.

I definitely wouldn't ask them to take it off. That's just an invitation for trouble. I could just see them out there with a paint scraper .....

Do you guys use dental floss to remove or attempt to peel it with your hand? I have a dealer badge (not a sticker) which I need to remove. Problem is the weather is cold (30s) and I have no hair dryer. I just got the car 2 days ago, so I would like to remove the badge asap.

so far it seems : dental floss/goo gone/hot sponge

Feedback appreciated!

If it's a sticker, try your fingernail. The dental floss trick works best of badges because they are raised up off the surface.

You snake the floss under the badge and it slices through the sticky tape that hold the badge on. Remove the rest of the sticky tape with the hair dryer/Goo Gone.
