Default first time claybar, WOW! did the exhaust tips too.

First time i ever claybarred. It is definitely worth the time/effort/money. I started at about 1 this afternoon. First, I washed her really good. Then i pulled into the shade and began to clay bar using Meguiars clay bar system. It comes with a bottle of detailer and a decent size bar. It was amazing seeing what was still on the paint and the feeling after you finish a spot.

It took me about two and a half hours to clay the car. Man was it exhausting, especially getting the sideskirts and lower parts. One thing that pisses me off tho, is that the claybar reveals where touch up paint was used. I found a ton of spots where the previous owner used touchup! bastard! he looks to have been a door dinger himself, there was alot on the drivers side door edge.

In the end, i decided to clay the exhaust tips which came out looking shiny! even after 36k miles of which 13k miles was catless.
I defnitely chunked the clay after that. Then i finished off with a coat of gold glass wax and detailed the interior. Got to use the free wipes, not too impressed but they got the job done.

Clay bar is awesome. My car's paint was soft like a babie's bottom for a awhile. Sooo smooth and shiny.

Looks great! But I think you need a bit more practice. When can you come over, and claybar my Z?

You might want to try some BlueMagic on your exhaust tips. Works great on my Nismo cat back.

BTW, are red Z's REALLY faster?

I use a Mr. Clean sponge on my exhausts, and they look nearly new.

you could also try claying your wheels or windows with some old clay. removes water spots and leaves everything it touches smooth
