I have the HKS exhaust too. Just soap and water, then Zaino.

Would you guys think of cleaning the inside of the tips also? You know that black carbon crap on it. Stupid question I know, I like the inside of the exhaust to be cleaned also.

Certainly. The less carbon inside the pipes, the less quickly it ends up on the lower half of the lip.

I use a generic metal polish called Liberty. But of course it does not say concourse or salon on the bottle. About 35 cents/ounce. 30,000 miles on the exhaust above.

I use a Mr. Clean sponge, and then the stainless steel polish called Zap that I also use on my fridge.

A cotton towel dipped in the same rinseless wash+water mixture I use to "wash" the car with, wrapped around a wooden handle. Takes mere seconds to get them sparkling clean.

0000 steel wool to get that "fine" dirt off your exhaust, followed up with Mother's Billet. Nice and shiny! You can also run your hand around the exhaust and it'll be nice and smooth too -- kind of like after you clay bar your car!

Honda makes a cleaner / wax in an aerosol bottle for their bikes. My buddy uses it on his bike, exhaust and all, so I gave it a shot, and it came out pretty good.
