Default are the leather seats really leather?

I've got an '05 G35C with black seats. They're supposed to be leather, but the side bolsters appear to be made of a different material; I read somewhere they might be vinyl. Does anyone have input on this? I don't want to be using leather cleaner/conditioner on something that isn't leather....

To answer your question, I don't know.

But I will tell you that I used the zaino leather cleaner and conditioner with no problems whatsoever.

I don't have a G35 but I think the seating surfaces are leather.

I know it seems like a stupid question, but the outer seat sections seem to be made of something tougher.

Almost all leather seats are only part leather. The parts you sit on directly are leather; those are the top of the bottom section and the front of the back section. All the side pieces and the stuff behind the back section are all vinyl. The good news is that you can still use leather conditioner and cleaner on the non-leather pieces without harming them.
