Another 6" of powder today in Colorado. Unfortunately, I'm not skiing through it! Drove my wife's Maxima tonight and noticed the snow melting on her hood was beading nicely with the Blackfire. Also, when I push piled up snow off the cars, the whole load seems to slide off the Blackfired surface. Anyone else notice this?

Here it is-February '07 aleady. Finally washed my 200SX Se-R winter beater and noticed the revised Blackfire formula doesn't appear to be beading much any longer. That means it lasted only about ten weeks (with seven straight snowstorms). This relatively short life span happened with Menzerna FMJ as well. Could the icy conditions just be stripping away these super polymers?

I use I.P. and F.P. II, they take a bit of work to get the job done, but I really like both products.

Could the weather conditions be affecting longevity that much? How long between your applications?

Maybe I was expecting too much, but I used Menzerna on my tow vehicle ('96 Chevy C3500 crewcab dually) back in November. Hoped it would help provide a measure of protection over the winter. Today I got it out and washed it up. Not a TRACE of beading left anywhere on it...
