Anybody with test pipes on a PPW get stains on their rear bumper? I get brown exhaust stains i guess from having test pipes
Just was wondering if anybody on these forums has the same issue.

yeah mine is silverstone, but the bumper esp near the exhaust is brownish from the test pipes.
if you find a way to get it off, lemme know. (i have obviously tried to wash it off, but its seems burnt on) i have just come to live with it.

I mean i have soot stains from exhaust emissions on my rear bumper on top of where my muffler outlets are.
BTW: I figured out wax does the trick of removing the stains.
Put a turbo on, then talk to me about it haha. JK. But really, mine gets BAD, I just scrub until my elbow can't take it anymore...and it still doesn't all come off. Ah well, it's one of those things you have to deal with when you have THE BEST COLOR THE Z COMES IN!

Hehe oh yeah. I would have imagined it would have been 10 times worse on a turbocharged Z.
Try a caranuba wax.. You won't have to scrub so much till your arms fall off.
my ppw has the same issuse... and i always manage to get it clean.... i detail cars for a living and the trick is not to scrub hard, but just wash your car clean and dry it. then use a paint/clear coat safe tarnish remover call.. GOO OFF that u can pick up at HOME DEPOT.. just apply on a damn terry cloth and work circles around the stained area lightly until gone.. and then wipe clean with a Clean Damped Terry cloth.. then if u want wax the area where the exhuast stains your bumper for easy removal next time u wash your car.....
