In the first week I had the Z (2 weeks ago) I washed it 4 times (bad weather). Then it sat in the garage for a week while I was in Vegas. It is garaged at home and at work, so with good weather, once a week "car spa treatment" should be fine. Black, looks so good, when clean and so bad when it's dirty

Secondly, let me get this straight. You spent $30k-something to buy a car you aren't going to drive because you don't want to put miles on it and already own a car that's "just as much fun to drive".
You don't work for the gov't by any chance do you? Sure sounds like their logic.

Not to knock Anyone on the amount of time they spend driving their Z but.... I've had mine for 27 days now... 2957 miles. I buy my cars to drive, to enjoy and to use them....
If the weather ever gets nicer I might actually SAVE some miles on the Z, as I can get out my Katana again...

The reason I made this pole is because my wife told me I'm a freak for washing my car 2-3 times a week.
I know there are a lot of people that live in Miami, San Diego, etc. that never have bad weather. What about you guys in the midwest? Saturday the 5th we got 5 inches of snow but 8 days later it was 88.
Do you think I wash too much considering where I live?
After 5 months of daily use I decided I'm gonna let her get dirty on the week and clean the mess at the end of it.
