Default New Product: Liquid Claybar, anyone use?

Hey Guys,

http://www.turtlewax.com/main.taf?p=2,1,1,4

I thought this was a good idea and figured I'd try it out on the new car. The directions aren't that good though and was wondering if anyone had used the product.

It says to Rinse car of loose debris and dirt, but doesn't say to wash first or to dry off after rinsing down the car so I washed it first(no-brainer, i figured). And i tried the liquid claybar both ways and it was about the same consistency both ways. It also said to rinse and dry off, but do one section at a time which means you're drying the car off every 2x2 or 3x3 section.

One note, it does leave a white residue besides what it says on the box. It doesn't matter much if you're waxing right after, but it looks bad. =\

Anyone who uses it, please let me know if I'm using it wrong, or consider it a very aukward review.

Why re-invent the wheel. Why not just use a CLAY BAR? I can clay my entire car in about 15 minutes. Clay works just fine and leaves no residue.

Looks like a regular cleaner in a fancy package. Whether or not it is abrasive deserves testing.

There are very few shortcuts in detailing...Like Jet says, a regular claybar takes 15 mins to use. The directions that came with the Zaino claybar say to wash before and after claying so shouldn't be any different for this product.

FWIW: I tried it on the rocker panels of my car and it worked pretty well. No scratching or swirlling that I noticed. I don't know if I will try it on the rest of my car yet. I still have 2 clay bars from Zaino to run through. I rinsed first and then after the claybar was done I washed it to remove the white residue. It says to just dry/polish but I would rather have Zaino on there than turtle wax, IMO.
