Default Sheepskin mitt

I purchased a sheepskin mitt from Griots but they didnt include any instructions of how to clean it after I use it. I know some of you use a sheepskin mitt as well so I was wondering how you all clean it.

I wash it in the washer with my other detailing supplies. Then hang it up to dry. If you don't open it up and let the skin inside dry completely, it will eventually rot and disintergrate.

Can I wash it along with my DF towels and big blue towels all together? the towels say they have to be washed seperately but would it be ok to combine them all?

how long does it take for the mitt to dry on the inside. i washed it two nights ago and it still feels decently wet inside of it. I've been hanging it from a clothesline so that the open end is facing down

Out West, we can use a thingie-majig, called a clothes dryer. It is the darndest thing, you can put it on air dry for the heat setting. Amazing these new fangled gadgets.

Personally I don't use mitts, 100% USA Terry Cloth towel only on my ride, both for washing and drying purposes.

It isn't that big of a science, don't put fuzzy things, like terry cloth, in the dryer at the same time as the mitten, just air dry, no heat on the dryer setting.

I still think your best option is not to use lambskin gloves, they aren't really that soft relative to other option that exist. I do use the lambskin gloves on the wheels, but never on the painted body.

It takes a while. I usually run it through the dryer for 10-15 minutes and that dries the outside (fur). The inner skin takes another day or two hanging on a rack. You have to stretch it open some so air can get inside to dry it otherwise it will stay wet for weeks then rot and fall apart.
