high pressure washer
Has anyone tried using a high pressure water spray to remove brake dust from their rims? It's pretty tough getting into the inner area of the rim, where most of the brake dust collects.
It would be nice to remove most of the brake dust use the high pressure spray and then hand wipe whatever is left.

I have and it doesn't come completely off. If you are using a sprayer you should probably use something like Meguirs Hot Rims to let the brake dust wash off. It is also good for getting back behind the spokes clean with no scrubbing. Be careful though when buying wheel cleaners as some of them are pretty harsh and could damage the finish on the wheels. Good Luck.
it could very easily blast the dust into the clear coat rather than off the rim... something to consider.
Ive never had trouble with atleast biweekly cleaning of the rims with soap and water and a rag, take about 5 minutes per rim, and use a q tip occasionally to get into the lug nut holes and what not.
also try to get the lip behind the spokes, looks much better IMO. for the truely ****, get behind the spokes too.

For those of us that are the most ****... Take the WHEEL off and clean it all... Front, back, insode, outside, lug nut hols, spokes... do it all if you're going to do it!!!
