Default So...I have stagnate oil spots on my car...how do i get them off?

So I've been gone out of done for about a month and a half and I come home to find my car in the garage with a hood full of oil spots...I was pretty pissed but I figured I'd just go out there and scrubs the **** out of it...Which I did to absolute no avail, the spots won't even budge....How am I supposed to get these off? No one cops to using my car but apparently it's been garaged 99% of the time so this oil shouldn't be "baked" on (I guess)

I'll upload some pictures within the hour.

Dam WTF? If its been sitting there that long not sure how it will come out. Try De-Natured Alcohol. Just make sure you wax the car afterwards and dont scrub the **** out of it, it will eat your paint if you do.

i would recommend first try using Meguiars claybar kit.

if that doesnt work, its most likely stained your clear coat. if thats the case, try some Meguiars ScratchX - or if you have a pc and M80 or M83, that should take it right out.

use laquer thinner and a clean white rag i work for extreme auto detail we get stuff like that all the time, any more questions pm me oh and put the laquer thinner on the rag and wipe do not spray it onto the body, it would be best to go over it with an applicator and some basic bc-2 which is just a basic wax and wipe off with a microfiber

Agree. Oil is a petroleum product, so you need a petroleum distillate such as mineral spirits or WD-40.

If the clear coat is stained, neither product may be 100 percent effective. White is unique because ultra violet radiation (the sun) is a natural stain remover. In other words the stains may be gone in a couple of months with just exposure to the sun.
