Default Got my stuff from Detailed Image!

Thanks Greg for the answers to my questions. Cant wait to get started!

I do have some concerns though....
When you guys got your Porta Cables, did it look kind of beat up? I understand the manufacuring process and how stuff looks liek sometimes when coming out of molds, but mine looks beat up. Even the grey plastic part looks like it has discoloration and grime on it.

Thank you for shopping at Detailed Image, I appreciate your support! I think you have some very good products that should help you really get some of that deep shine!

I'm sorry to hear the PC 7424 didn't look top notch. We certainly want to deliver a quality product to you every time. I've seen some PC 7424 that don't look exactly brand new and I know it can be a let down. If the buffer is defective or if you don't want this one please contact me directly via e-mail or PM.

I got your PM earlier today and I know we've exchanged some PM's already. I'm sorry if I didn't respond to an e-mail. Please let me know the e-mail address and I'll see if I can find it. I don't have any unanswered e-mails at this time and I'm usually very timely with my responses. Let me know if I can help you any further.

I am pretty much a beginner. It cost me $295.43. Ive never clayed or polished anything before. Im one of those guys that would wash and wax and think That was all there was to it. What a difference claying and polishing made!

I:

1. washed with Dawn
2. clayed (the car has never been clayed before, much crap on the bar)
3. intense polished (orange pad) (didn't get rid of all the oxidation so I went out and got 3M rubbing compound and it helped further)
4. final polished (orange pad) This step is what made a huge difference in shine.
5. sealed (twice)
6. wax

Its way more fun when you see such a difference every step you take! You can tell how bad it was by looking at the rear view mirror and the window wipers. The wiper's paint is gone and the plastic mirrors and door handles are pink. That's how my hood used to look! The person that owned the car before me must have kept it in the sun for most of its life.
