Goo gone. BUT you MUST wash your car (the area) thoroughly IMMEDIATELY after. Goo-Gone will also strip every bit of wax you had on the panel, so be prepared to wax again too.

I will re itterate>....

you MUST wash your car (the area) thoroughly IMMEDIATELY after. Do not let the GooGone sit on your paint, and bake in the mid-day sun

That is going to be tricky. But i would first try using a blow dryer to heat up the glue and they try to remove it. Or try a clay bar and a soap/water mix solution to keep it wet while scrubbing.

i would use acrylicline (i think thats how its spelled) its a little less agressive than goo gone or Goofoff, you can find it at a autobody supply store. It comes in a metal canister with a white and blue PPG lable. also be sure to listen to mdracer76 and wash the area thoroughly after, then wax

the words paint, and scrubbing should never be used together, unless you have a 2 year old, and we are talking about walls

The key to a swirl free finish is to eliminate as many things touching your paint a possible. Goo-gone will soften the glue, and allow you to wipe it away with a soft microfiber, without scrubbing.

Claybar is a very safe alternitave..if the glue has not had time to 'bake' on.

3M general purpose adhesive cleaner. It's made not to damage automotive paint. As has been stated, you'll need to re-apply the wax.

There's also 3Ms pinstripe removal wheel.

Goof-Off is a paint remover - DO NOT use that on your car. Goo Gone is the product for removing glue residue. If Goo Gone doesn't remove it, as 35TH ANY pointed out, the 3M Adhesive remover works great.
