what to use to clean dash/door panels
what is the best product to use to clean the dash and the vinyl interior door panels. do not want to use armour all because of the greasy feel and smell. is there anything that is effective and is odorless or at least doesn't smell bad and where can i purchase this product?
Steve-
Take a few moments and do a search or read some of the old threads in the detailing section. There's LOTS of posts about this very subject. Personally, I recommmend 303 for everything except the door panels. I use a very mild Murphy's soap and water solution on the panels.

POW! Plain old water, is the best solution. Maybe, very diluted soap, but only after many many many months of neglect.
Follow with a silicone based product (not Armo-all). Well, Armor-all is ok, but you would have to spray pretty darn often for protection.

My 'ol man use to use Armour All on his dash boards, and every single one of them cracked within 5 years. I swore never to use that crap ever! The only new car I have kept for any length of time is my Sentra. I have had it for 9 years, and I parked it outside for 8 of those nine years in the desert (temperatures reach 115 in the summer), and all I used was plain old water. That dash is in the same condition it was in when I first bought it. I think dash material is prone to shrinkage, which is why I would never put chemicals on them which will dry out over time.
