Detailer here to help!
Hey guys! I didn't see a "welcome" section to this forum so I figure I'll just post it in here since this is why I'm here.
Anyway, I'm a full-time detailer so I thought I'd sign up and try to be a helping hand in this forum.
I plan on participating in this part of the forum only so any chance I get to help answer questions, I will. Feel free to shoot me a PM or even an email (mike@drivenautodetail.com) if you have specific questions.
Here's a pic of a 350z NISMO that I detailed last summer:

Thanks for the warm welcome and kind word guys! I appreciate it. Here are the rest of the pics to that 350z if you want to check 'em out: http://s229.photobucket.com/albums/e...008/?start=all
idrmofs7 - If I remember correctly, I washed the vehicle with Optimum Car Wash. I then went over it with clay (Clay Magic). After that I polished it with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish and then 3M Ultrafina SE. I used a Makita rotary to polish with both of those products. For protection, I used Collinite 845 Insulator Wax.

What product are you looking for a recommendation for (wax, car wash, etc.)? There are a lot of products for each area. I generally don't buy over-the-counter products so my product recommendations generally have to be purchased online (AutoGeek.net, Danase.com, DetailedImage.com, TopOfTheLine.com, etc.).
Just let me know what area you need recommendations for and I'll give you my thoughts!

jray8 - Thanks for the kind words!
wasuber - The model number is 9227. Here's a link: http://autogeek.net/ma927po.html. Just a word of caution: If you've never used a buffer, I highly recommend NOT starting with a rotary. It takes a lot of skill and knowledge to use a rotary and not cause damage to the paint.
For noobies, the Porter Cable 7424 (random orbital buffer) is the recommended tool: http://autogeek.net/poca746varap.html
Paint type/color isn't the determining factor for what buffing pads you should use. There are different types of pads for different situations (swirl removal, polishing, waxing, etc.). I like the Lake Country CCS 5.5" low profile pads. If you get orange (cutting), white (polishing), and black (finishing, waxing). http://autogeek.net/ccs-5-5inch-foam-buffing-pads.html
Since you have graphics, you'll need to pay special attention when polishing around these areas. You don't want to put too much pressure on the buffer when working over the vinyl because it could damage it.
Lastly, I don't have any experience with the "Sham-Wow" towel. I am familiar with high-quality microfiber drying towels though. I'd recommend the Cobra Guzzler: http://autogeek.net/waffle-weave-drying-towel.html
Don @ Migliore - Thanks, much appreciated!
