Not that I like those water blades either, but a chamois can do that damage just as easily to the paint as the water blade can.

Still I always was my self (though I use the spray wash bay's once in a while) but I don't ever use the brush they have there and I always chamois the car off myself.

You should trying a WW microfiber drying towel. They're softer and more absorbent than chamois I've used in the past. I purchased through Detailed Image. It's by far the best drying towel I've used to date.

Always wanted to see what type of damaged they do. Surprised the drive through car wash was the least destructive.

The hand wash would have been fine it seems if they just used towels instead of that water blade.
