I don't have any in depth reviews of the tool at this point. In my experience with it though I liked how it just felt more solid and you can use more pressure with it. The increased motor and OPMs definitely helps you get more out of this tool and it is definitely an upgrade. If you have a PC 7424 I wouldn't rush out to grab the 7424XP. The Flex XC 3401 VRG would be a much more noticeable upgrade.
