I think I saw them on the Courtesy nissan webpage but not for sure...good place to start looking though, and it seems they would be the same as the touch up paint with the brush but the pens have a clearcoat end if i remember correctly!

www.courtesyparts.com

the pen works well IMO, it doesnt do a flawless finish, but it does hide the mark from a distance, just a bit noticable up close.

for smaller marks, use a qtip to put the paint on, the tip of the pen is a bit large for some marks.

The pen from Courtesy works well. I'd like to conceal it a little better though. Can it be wet sanded after it cures? If so what grit & process would u use?

Id be skeptical of anything other than wetsanding, but that tends to be very broad and you may sand way more of the sourrounding area than you want to.

I have the one from Courtesy, it works ok, but it didn't match my car at all. It was a real dark red. I'm not sure how well matched their other colors are.

Hmm, sounds like you got the brickyard touch up? Mine blends really well.

It is more red than a brickyard color.

The only problem is you can see quite clearly where you used it! I need to get my superblack into the detailer for some serious descratching!

so thread mention compounding. Can any of you tell me the detail of compounding? I got myself a Langka already and Touch up pen from courtsey Nissan. I bought the paint chip repair and wetsand 2000.

I just wondering if the compound they refer is the wetsanding?

Cheers

I believe "compound" refers to the polish wax you use to do the sanding. be very careful if you intend to use the wetsand2000, I assume that means its a 2000grit polish, and it will eat through your clear coat if you stay too long in an area or press too hard with the buffer.

You might want to have a look at www.langka.com

Now guys i got a question about my stone chip.

i got one stone chip paint that is not 100% chipped but instead it moved the chiped paint into blob. Sorry it's very hard to explain but maybe the picture would explain it.

After seeing the picture can you guys advice me if i should use a needle or a pin to gently remove the blobed paint to make it chipped? So i can apply a touch up pen.

advice please.

Thanks

Default Touch up

Here is a trick the local bodyshop taught me.

They rip a match out of a pack and use the torn base of the match as a tiny brush. You can do a suprisingly good job with it.

You can also use a little rubbing paste in a pencil eraser to smooth out the paint spot after it cures.

Always let the paint cure for DAYS before trying to polish it out. The harder it is cured the better it will polish down.

but the paint that blobed chip is not a touch up paint. It's a factory paint which chipped so i don't think the eraser will for on the Factory Paint will it?
