I have used Meguiars Gold Class soap and Zip wax soap, worked well with my Maxima and previous vehicle.

the zaino car wash removes CG?? hmm, that wouldn't be good... I personally like zaino wash, but haven't tried using it since buying CG.
the CG 'wash' is more like a spray, and i don't feel that it offers the lubrication that i can get from a liquid concentrate wash. however, everyone in the industry i have spoken with says you should use the wash that is recommended by your polish/wax mfg...

well maybe i was wrong, I applied CG the day before i went on a trip to California and when i went back home the car was dirty covered with dust. I then washed the car the next day. I wasn't really aware that the CG doesn't fully cure until the next 48 hours or maybe longer. I didn't give up on the CG though. I applied another coat and this time didn't wash the car for a week and to my surprise the car is still shiny. it looks better than the day i applied the CG quick. A newly CGed car looks like a waxed car and look a bit oily but after letting it sit for a few days it eventually turn in to glass-like finish. I am very now very impressed with Crystal Guard.

I agree. CG Quick does improve after a day or two. I use Mequirs that comes in a pinkish/purple bottle. I also have the CG wash, but I don't think it does much to actually clean the car if it's dirty.

When I just want to wash the car I use the Mequirs. When I planning on applying another coat of CG Quick, I use Mequirs then the CG wash, then the CG Quick.
