Default Dirty...

I reached over behind my headrest and when I saw my hands, they were covered in this black dust. You know when you play basketball and your palms are sweating, and you look at your hands, they look black and dusty, thats what is looked like. I always close my windows when im not in the car, always clean it, and this is the first time that this has happened. It was also on the back of the passenger headrest. Could it be because I used leather wipes on my seats? I was thinking maybe the black leather is peeling on the back because of the leather wipes, while the leather wipe on the front is taken off when i sit on the seat? Did this ever happen to you guys?

I say clean it. Then it won't be dirty anymore. Problem solved until it gets dirty again. At that point you will have to clean it again. Then you can come back and talk dirty again. Then Davidv can like it again.

Generally speaking the leather wipes I have tested are not really good for leather, just a quick cleaning. I would suggest using a good leather cleaner and conditioner. Locally you may be able to find the Lexol Leather Conditioner and Lexol pH Leather Cleaner. For the best results I would suggest the Leatherique Prestine Clean and Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil. They are definitely my favorite for removing surface contaminants (i.e. dust, dirt, human oils, etc.). They also help make the leather soft and flexible yet strong and durable.

To you guys who say just clean it and wait till it gets dirty again....that has never happened before. I have been driving my z for over 18 months and first time this has happened. I keep everything spakin clean, and theres black dust on the back. Don't think its because the interior got dirty, or it would be all over the place, not just on the backrest. I guess ill stop using meguirs leather wipes then
