Default 2003 OEM touring wheels

Update: Pics below

I just had my 2 front OEM wheels refinished due to corrosion and curbage. Both look great now.
My rears were in good condition to begin with. When I compare the fronts to the rears, there is a bit of a difference (obviously). The front ones have a lot more pop and shine.

What products do you guys use to restore the shine on your wheels? I have used Meguiars Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner, and just ordered Wheel Wax which will be here on Tuesday.

I posted on another forum and someone suggested I use Meguiars ScratchX 2.0 and then use wheel wax.. which i never thought of.

I found this link: http://forums.trailvoy.com/archive/i...p/t-52345.html

Any other suggestions? Worst case I pay to have the rears refinished, but would rather avoid that if possible.

You can clean them with the product you listed and that will remove some of the surface contaminants. I would recommend at least 1 - 2 times per year you use a quality metal polish on the wheels. The Optimum (OPT) Metal Polish and the P21S Finish Restorer are excellent examples. They help deep clean the surface and make sure you are getting the best shine possible. Both products are great for bare metals and coated wheels.

After that you can protect them with the Wheel Wax. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Pics - I used scratch x 2.0, wheel wax, and then a mothers detailer spray.

The rear (left wheel) is the original, the front (right) is the newly refinished.
