Zaino does not have any more steps than any of the final finish products offered by Mothers, Meguiars, or anyone else. If you think it does, you have misunderstood the Zaino process...... And in some cases such as the three step Meguiars Deep Crystal system Zaino has less steps....

I performed a complete Meguiars process on my '90 240SX (Dawn, claybar, pre-wax, polish, Gold Class), and the results were phenomenal! However, having spent much time on this forum, and researching other forums, Zaino appears to be the top dog spread.

Zaino doesn't seem to require any more steps than what I mentioned above for Meguiars, and that's doing a thorough job first time out. I'm tempted to giving Zaino a try on my Z and probably will once the California sun returns. Also, the TOC process done on my Z at time of purchase (May '03) has yet to wear off.

As for cost, Zaino is a little more expensive, but not by much.

To try and answer your question, yes there are tons of other great products out on the market. Platinum has a great line of products. Their Ultimate Paint Protection is a great sealant at a great price. Check them out here:PremiumAutoCare

Also, Megs has some great products, its really comes down to what you like. Some say Zaino is the best, but what about Klasse Products, or Poorboy Products?? If used correctly any high end car care product will work and look great.

Check out Detailcity.com for great detailing tips and opinions.

*The above is just one mans opinion. I am simply a man who likes to clean his car. I have tried Zaino and the other products mentioned*

yup crystal gaurd, blackfire, zymol.

but youll find whether they say so or not, you should always claybar a car before the initial wax. no wax has a alternative to this, some just dont reccomend that you do it, it makes it no less useful tho. you dont have to clay with zaino either...

after that, all waxes require you to wash your car, and apply the wax, then remove the wax.

the differences come down to ease of applying, drying time, and ease of removal. Ive only used zaino so I donno how the others fair in these area.

polymer... and yes.. at first it might be hard because ppl tend to use too much than required... but you don't really need much of the product.. a small amount goes a long way. you'll get used to it by the 2nd application.

it lasts really long. The last time i applied was March or Feburary ... i forget.. (lets just say about 8 months ago)... finally applied another about 2 weeks ago... car still beads like crazy and the paint felt super slick before that. but the website states it lasts about 6 months or more with proper washing/quick detailing
