Default soap?!! rinsed or not?

Check this out. I washed my new LS ZR Enth for the first time today. Used Meguiars. When I went to dry it off, I had two brand new chamois. One was a nice big one, made by turtle wax. When I started to dry of the car, IT LATHERED UP! WTF? So I got out another thigamajig chamois and some terryclothes and finished it up, no prob. What is the deal with the turtle wax chamois? Did it have soap in it? Is it so, er, sensitive, that is made a lather out of whatever microscopic vestiges of soap was left on the car after I MOST THOROUGHLY hosed it off? Yikes! I'm scared mommy.....

Your "Roadster" is VERY nice! "What is the deal with the turtle wax chamois"? Along with the chamois, you paid for scratches. Switch "now" to "BigBlue" for drying and using DF Towels for polishing or waxing.

Thanks for the advice, just ordered a big blue mf towel! I'd still love to know why the heck that silly chamois caused a lather on a freshly rinsed car though! Any theories?

If you are talking about a LEATHER chamois, then its probably the cleaner agents used to purify the leather during making. Probably should have rinsed it out first.

I do not like leather chamois at all, I only use The Absorber chamois, it is like a micro pore material.

You'll be very happy with the Big Blue. Don't have to wash it ahead of time either. I used to use a natural chamios but got tired of having to wet it every time I used it. BBT is great.
