if you want to see how shiny something can be, do your window. I was amazed how reflective it was with zaino Z5 and Z6. it was a mirror.

but with the exact same process on the rest of the car, it wasnt as clear due to the orange peel, plenty shiny, but the extreme reflection was distorted which ruined it.

yes wet sanding can help/solve it. but it depends, can only take so much off before your through the clear coat which is no good.

Orange peel is uneven or lumpy clear coat, look at your face's reflection in your paint, it will look kinda distorted like the surface has the texture of an orange.

Orange peel is usually caused from the paint drying too quickly when it is applied. The paint has to be liquid enough to flow to "level out" the surface of the paint, but it can't be too thin b/c then it can run.

If that could happen, 99% of new car owners now days could collect on their car maker.....

I was down in florida for vacation, and low and behold they had some sort of random ferrari museum, I have no clue it was in the middle of a dirty slummy flea market, but there were modenas and *holy music* an enzo. only had a 2mp camera so wasnt gonna bother trying to take a photo of it. but the paint WISHED it had orange peel, it was just patheticly wavey and distorted. looked like maaco applied it.
