CrystalGuard: Say Good-Bye to WAX TODAY!!
Concerning a fluorine-based car-care product, this might be of interest:
Recently, as one example, Nissan introduced for its Infiniti luxury car a new fluorine-based clearcoat finish which the carmaker said would need no waxing for years. But, while it might not need waxing, the new clearcoat required, as do all clearcoats, special care and special products to administer that care.
Chemists from one of the most respected manufacturers of detailing products in the United States worked closely with DuPont's chemists, who had developed the fluorine-based finish, to formulate products designed to maintain its beauty and assure its long life. This product maker has a full-scale lab of its own. It staffs chemists specialized in car-care products. Nissan and DuPont approved the products specially formulated for the new clearcoat. Result: Nissan issued a maintenance bulletin to its dealers and to independent detailers recommending that only the new fluorine-compatible detailing products be used on the Infiniti -- until some other product maker came up with products as compatible with the finish (which is likely to happen). It is unlikely that a detailer's own cleaning, polishing, and waxing formulas could work on the special clearcoat finish as well as laboratory-formulated products.

Which is a acrylic silicone fluoropolymer that may share similar properties to the kozmez product but at a reduced price and with a bit more elbow grease.
If Nissan used a similar or identical fluorine based clear-coat on the 350z's, it might explain why CG looks so good on the car, but average on others (at least from posts on this thread).

It'd be interesting to do a comparison between GC and other more traditional methods and rate them in terms of time, effort and visible results. If the CG results are indistinguishable from that of other high-end (but still much less expensive) products, then what you're paying for is ease of use. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of my time being more valuable than the money spent, nor do I have the extra cash at the moment to order a pro kit of CG and see for myself. However, I can hop down the street and pick up a tin of the 3m product to try out, which I will do as soon as the rain lets up.
There isn't any real comparison with ease of use because people difer in general as to how fast they are and what method they use. My main reason is not ease of use buy longevity/durability.
Haven't washed my car since last track day and last rain. Looks better than new w/o any water spots.
Under severe conditions brake dust DOES stick to my rims though so I dropped that part out of my detail. Waste of time for me but I race (severe conditions.)
Would love to see CG step up and do a comparision but I feel it would need to include longevity/durability.

This appears to be just another bottle of QD (quick detailer) same stuff you can pick up from mother's or mequires at pep boys.
Why talk about teflon though in the ad? Teflon only does good if you wax at 4000 degrees.

1. It is important that all dirt, grime and wax be thoroughly removed from the vehicle before applying CG Quick.
2. Don't apply CG under direct sunlight or when the body is hot, otherwise CG will not spread well.
3. Shake well before using. You must mix CG ingredients well.
4. Don't apply heavy coats of CG quick otherwise it will be difficult to remove haze.
5. Just spray a small amount and CG Quick doesn't take time to harden
6. Basically CG Quick last four to six months, during that time you don't need to reapply CG quick.
7. You may reapply CG Quick at any time as you desire for deeper gloss.
8. You will see results one day after applycation.
9. The silkyness naturally fades into a long lasting gloss.
Thank you!!

1. CG Wash removes dirt, stains and oils from the CG layer without damaging.
2. CG Wash is designed to preserve the integrity of the CG layering by filling in any microscopic surface scratches to the original coat.
3. Rinse the vehicle thoroughly with water to remove loose debrits first.
4. Spray just a small amount of CG wash entire vehicle.
5. Gently wash the vehicle with microfiber cloth while simultaneously rinsing with water.
Thank you!

Hi, I am now in Singapore for some press conference....
I found that there are some reasons why some customers didn't have good results with CG Quick:
1. Applied CG under direct sun light.
2. Didn't remove wax or oil from the body.
3. Applied too much. (You need only 0.6-0.7oz per application)
If you didn't have good results with CG Quick, please try to do easy preparation work before application. Easiest way to do it is, wash your car with CG wash or any neutral detergent you can get at any supermarket
I also found that more CG Quick you apply, more it fills fine swirls (not big ones). If you still have some CGQ left, please try it...
Thanks!!!!!!

In my opinion, people who have been having problems are applying the CG in direct sunlight. When dried out in direct sunlight, it's harder to buff out into the shine. I found that either applying the CG in shade or applying water will resolve any drying problem.
I c. Thanks for very good feedback.... Preparation for the press conference is still going on....

Those tips don't do me any good now. The whole damn bottle is gone.
It should have said to take off the wax first in the instructions... I'm sure that would have helped me. But it didn't say that...
Thats why when a product first comes out, the price should be lower because if the producer of the product doesn't even know how to use it yet, how do you expect people to pay full price for it?
I guess that was my fault for paying it...

Did you read all the threads on the product, watch the video and follow the links before applying?
If your whole bottle is gone how many coats did you get?
I did two more coats and the bottle is still almost full!
What's up Tako!
Thanks for dropping by!

Hey Toshi,
It is Andy here...with the Japanese wife from Sagamihara...I met you at the shop!
Anyway, I put CG on my WRX, but I did not realize that I had really bad swirl mards in the paint. When I tried to get them out with 3m swirl mark remover for dark cars, It did NOTHING..>THe CG coat is impenatrable.
What to do...I need to get the paint perfect...and I can't get to the damn paint!
For all of you non-believers...this Crystal Guard Quick is really really awesome...I can't even believe it.
