Interesting. My CS 350Z is one week old and i was about to order that Zaino...but this seems better, since i am starting with a 'fresh car'.

but I am lazy....

I live near mountain view...im going to call custom exotica and see if they will prep the car and apply the first coat of this stuff 'professionally' then i'll just do the quick maintenance thing later myself.

that seems the way to go.

Kozik,

Good choice...you'll love Crystal Guard! It's truly amazing, especially considering how little work it is. Good luck!

I've since put two coats on the car:

This week, it has been raining off and on, so hard to tell what it really looks like. The water beads very nicely.

Default How to best wash dirty car with CG Wash?

So far, I love the look of the CGQ.

I'm a little concerned with what I am reading about the CG Wash in the sense that it does not lather.

It seems that we want soapy water to lather and lift the dirt off a car. I'm concerned that the CG Wash will not lift off the dirt and just grind the dirt into the car.

Should we wash with a mild lathery soap before using the CG Wash?

We will recomend to use CG wash.

1.Rinse the Vehicle thoroughly with water to remove loose debris first.
2.Spray a small amount of CG Wash on entire vehicle
3.Start washing the vehicle with Crystal microfiber cloth while simultaneouly rinsing with water.

You should spray directly on heavily soiled area.

Question Question for customexotica1

I am having a new body kit (front rear spoiler side skirts etc) put on. My car has numerous coats of CGQ on it but the body kit will be brand new fresh paint.

Is there a waiting period before application to new paint and when can I add CGQ to the newly painted areas?

You should wait till paint is cured about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks!!

So I went down to Custom Exotica facility today.

Very friendly people, some great cars in evidence and the cars treated with the product looked great...perfect in fact. no residue,no splotches...and their shop was SPOTLESSLY CLEAN.

It's for real, the 'vibe' was right.

They are going to do my car next week.

Hey, so i was checkin out this thread and am really interested in trying this stuff on my 3000GT.. Anyways, my main concern is since apparenlty crystal guard is at least semi permanent, is it ok to apply wax over crystal guard (a while after the CG has been applied)? I'm not sure if this has previously been answered, the thread is pretty long.. Will this help or hurt the shine, cause I would want to put on the CG on maybe few times a year, but I like to wax it a lot more often than that. Also, is the free demo offer still on for the bay area folks? Thanks,
-Mike

An earthing kit is the same as a grounding kit. A means of providing better grounding for the car's ECU. You can find a very good one at www.z-xtreme.com

With dynos, it has been shown to provide 2-4 extra HP.

I got my car back from Custom Exotica today. it looked amazing..now..6 hours later it looks better. the 'bonding' deal works. its crazy. I live in San Francisco where cars get dirty 15 minutes after you clean them so this is a godsend.

I'm looking out the window at the car now and it's GLOWING.

I will do 1 application myself in about a week and then take it back to them for the second 'pro' treatment.

I am COMPLETELY satisfied with the product and the service.

"This bottle (6.75 oz) covers approximately 6-10 applications"

Why does the bottle say otherwise? Specifically, half a bottle per car.
