I can get about 10 applications out of a full size bottle of CQC.

I look at it like this.

It's been explained you need to prep first, I did and had good results some didn't and were unhappy with the results.

So read the website they link to here and even watch the video.

2 years of detailing product (all in one, rain guard, protectant etc) for that price works for me!

The first and second coat look nice but as with any product if you build up a good foundation (after the prep) it will require less product. In fact my 6th application took about 20 minutes and I can't even tell the bottle level moved!

Much different from my first application process and prep that took half a bottle (small bottle) and 2 hours.

It gets better I like it and plan on staying with it!

Another word of advice, spend the 3 bucks and get two micro fiber towels from kRAGEN Auto or another local auto store the product will last much longer and go on much more smoother and thinner!

A bottle will go a looong way if used properly. just a spritz on each panel is more than needed.

I'm almost out of CG. It would be nice if there's a summer 10% off sale on CG (hint... hint).

I'm on my 5th coat and just bought another batch. CG RULES! my car looks INSANE. smooth as glass to the touch.

I am beyond pleased. I have got it down to 45 minutes per wash and application.

consider me a life long customer.

I bought the biggest bottles they had...I use microfiber for both the wash and the coating. then a bunch of those artificial chamois with the holes in them, and then the soft towels...

I also make sure to clean every door edge and the engine etc....

the car looks better than it did when I bought it.

it's all foggy right now..next nice day i'll shoot some piics.

I tell you what sucks though...waiting for those tires to arive. i been staring at my new rims for 2 weeks now....

grrrrrr................Doug shipped my plenum today tho so soon I'll have something to do.

if your core had the extra nitrous hole in it.yep. Doug powdercoated the strut brackets red for me. I have a CS and am going with a red and silver engine bay motif.

got my volks..waiting on tires...next week having gruppe-s slap on the Jics and swaybars...next month the brakes...then the cams.

I want to get that procharger...but will wait 6 months and see how they do on other cars.

I'm going to Japan first week of august and am going to try and track down some nismo stuff...ecu and high flo cats specifically.

the bottle seems very small. Is it enough to spray the whole car?

Definately. You should be able to get 5-7 coats with the small bottle.

Question info on CGQ

I've always used Meguiar's on my cars, but now I'm very curious about CG. I just got my Z two months ago and I immediately put on 2 coats of Meguiar's Polymer Sealant. How do I go about applying CG? Do I need to remove the sealant I applied? If so, how? Which kit should I purchase? Once I use CG, can I still wax if for some reason CG doesn't stay on the market? I'd appreciate everyone's input.

thanks.

The Crystal Guard Pro application kit will do the trick. the primer included will remove the old sealant, the base and top coats will seal your paint and make it very shiny. It's also recommended to use the CG Maintenance kit to keep up the protection. We don't see Crystal Guard coming off the market, but if it were to you can still use your wax... it just won't reflect as much.

Thank you for the reply Erik. How far are you guys from San Diego? If the trip isn't too bad, I'd feel better if pros did the application. By the way how much would you charge to do my WRX and 350Z?

CQC is the only thing that will go on my car. I am prepping for my 7th coat.

I would redo their link at my website and sig but I am switching to Fiber Optics 100MBps Wednesday.

Tako where is he anyway Japan still? Man must be nice.

Default CG Quick Question

Is it better to go with multiple coats of the CG Quick or go with the entire Pro course? I just bought a redline performance a couple of days ago and am really starting from scratch. It has a coat of regular wax the dealer applied but that's it.

Thanks,

HokieZ
