Sorry to hear that, you should probably contact Jim directly. He posts his number and direct email a lot in this forum. I wrote him before I had CG EX applied and he got back to me within a couple days. He was very helpful and very informative.
I had a great experience with CG and continue to, if you have it professionally applied, they warranty the treatment (I think CG website www.crystalguard.com has the warranty details)
It is also true that CG does not fill in hair line scratches, CG says the new Quick can fill in light scratches, but my recommendation is to do a full detail of your paint, clay bar, compound, polish to remove all the crap that can build up on your paint, then apply CG. Its worth it the first time, especially if you are having it done professionally, it makes no sense to semi-permanently seal in the fine swirl marks of your paint. In my case my detailer at Final touch did a great job of removing swirls and hairlines so that they were less noticable even with CG.
Zaino doesn't even compare to CG, thats why people that use applications like Zaino are stuck on it because CG is so much different, its like trying to convince a monkey that a purple banana is still a banana but to no end. (not calling Zaino users monkeys)

In your opinion, how is Zaino different than Crystal Guard?
Once again, Thanks

Now I'm coming from the perspective of having CG EX which is a professional application that does not wear off in 3-6 months like CG Quick (Jim can confirm that). So I will make the assumption that we are comparing CG EX and Zaino.
I've seen some of the pictures of the results of Zaino, WOW is what I have to say, but any wax especially high end wax doesn't last very long. So you apply a product like Zaino, it fills the hairlines, gives you really deep gloss and reasonable protection from environmental elements (not bird droppings). If you live in warmer climates then that wax will not last very long (probably not more than 3 weeks)
So its possible that you are doing your Zaino application 2-3 times a month just to keep that deep gloss and reflectivity up. But you still do not have real protection from elements like bird droppings or tree sap.
CG EX is different because it is like coating your car with a layer of glass. I'm sure you know how soft clear coat is, you can scratch it with a fingernail, you can't with CG. And because CG actually gets stronger as it cures, the surface also becomes much smoother, even on the microscopic level. So it obtains the kind of slickness that teflon products try to obtain but its hard to get something like teflon to stick to any surface. With that slickness and tight matrix of glass and flourine you have better protection from elements and things like bird droppings will not eat into your paint.
I think Jim has said to try CG quick as a teaser then if you like it to move up to EX applied by a professional. Its expensive, but you won't have to detail your car for a year, just regular washing and maybe a Quick application or two to revive any lost lustre.
I've said this before on other message boards, I've done a lot of homework on this product, asked a lot of questions. I'm very happy with what I've got, so it may seem like I sound like an advertisement, but its really just because I want to help as many people realize the benefits as possible.
Also, my detailer was one of the strongest skeptics to this product. He had been using waxes for years, then moved to teflon, dissappointed by both but not so open to new products like CG. He went to a demo at Mountain View and even had it applied to his own car and was impressed so much, its all he sells. He will not use wax or teflon on his customers cars, he doesn't even offer it.
Hope that helps
George

I had a question about the Crystal Guard product and so sent a PM to two representatives of this product. My PM went out almost over a month ago and I have not heard a reply as of yet. These two individuals have been online since then and have avoided my Pm. To me, if I was going to try out a new product and get hooked, then the customer service should be up to par (which is not the case here). I am scared that in case of problems like some forum members have mentioned, I will have a hassle on my hands. People have noticed several problems ordering the product and it just seems like a serious fault for Crystal Guard.
I was originally trying to decide between Crystal Guard and Zaino, and now after my exprience I am leaning more towards Zaino even though it takes more time to apply.

CG Wash
Can someone elaborate on how to apply CG wash properly?
Here's what I do :
1. Rinse vehicle
2. Spray CG Wash over vehicle panel's
3. Wipe down with damp microfiber
4. Rinse
Is this correct, or do I just rinse, spray CG, rinse?

I have used CG several times, and I am overall pleased with the product.
However, two things concern me, and have prevented me from using it anymore.
1) The "glass" in the prduct actually burns and mirco-cuts up my hands! My hands are stinging and somewhat painfull after applying and removing the product. Has anyone else experienced that?
2) With my black car, CG DEFINATELY increases the swirls in my car. THe shine is sick...but the swirls bug me.
Any suggestions?

I have never heard of CG burning or cutting skin. The products are not made to do anything like that. For thew two years we've sold this product, this is a first.
In terms of increasing swirls, CG will highlight imperfect paint. We highly recommend you buff out those scrathes prior to application..that way you'll only have a "sick' shine... ;-)
It just goes to show you how powerful the sealant is to bring out small imperfections..
As for using the Wash properly, it's basically the same as the CG Quick. You got it right in your post, Crazysets...

I didn't think the CG would add swirls I just wanted to be sure. Seems you'll have to use a fine cut polish now to eliminate the swirls. Its my understanding that CG with make the swirls more obvious due to its reflective properties. There numerous polishes discussed on this board to do the job well in the detailing section. Great info there!

Surprised nobody else has experienced that.
BTW, that will not deter from buying the stuff again. I am actually going to place another order now. I tried doing the normal waxing thingy for the past few months. I hate it!! And the shine is nowhere near the shine I get from CQ
