Heh, this stuff seems to be making junkies out of Z owners ;-)

I cannot resist. Can I buy one of these kits using PayPal or mail in an order form?

Thanks.

alright, so what if there is a scratch in your paint, say in your front bumper, if i use the crystal guard over it will i be able to repair the paint later? or is it permanently bonded, which wouldn't allow the paint to adhere to the surface?

the CG is not permanently bonded. if you go to the website you can see there is a product that removes the CG. i believe just like all products that protect the paint they dont permanently last. they have to be maintained for longevity. though the CG is known to last longer than the usual waxes used today. it is to my understanding that scratches & such are hightened by the CG due to its reflective properties. im not associated with CG im only answering from statements made here on the forum & those ive read in this thread.........but if i may answer your question, yes you can repair your scratch at a later date after applying CG.

im trying get rid of light swirls and fine scratches on the SB.
if i use crystal guard after i get rid of the scratches and swirls, would crystal guard prevent the scratches and swirls from comming back as long as the crystal guard is remaining on the paint surface?

thats a tough topic. i beleive if you get rid of the swirls properly you should be fine. when i say properly i mean using a fine cut polish that would remove the swirls from the clearcoat. i cant say for sure that filler products used on swirls then CG would allow for the swirls to not return.......im only answering with my experience with fillers & fine cut polishes as i have no experience with CG.......i should probably leave this open for the CG experts to answer........but i can tell you the only way to truely get rid of swirls is to use a cutting polish as fillers are only temporary.......

thx for your input. i got my SB z used about 2 weeks ago, and looking at swirls and these fine scratches on this beautiful car really hurts me. i guess the previous owner didn't really take care of the car. it is a 2004 model and paint condition is really bad.

i don't know if im gonna look for professional help, but i wanna get the paint swirl-less somehow, and cover the car with some kind of protection. CG sounds like its going to do the job. can anyone confirm this? i wanna know if CG will prevent the swirls and fine scratches from coming back.

thx.

John.

Thumbs up CG!

I finally got to use my Crystal Guard, even bought their wash & of course the Microfiber chamois. Was strange using this type of washing method, spray & wipe . But it works! Then the final step, seemed to easy, but the Shine doesn't lie!!! I'm sold, will continue to purchase this product.

try this one...http://www.crystalguard.com/buy.html.

Personally, I think it's a good product. Different people have different preferences and for me I like carnauba waxes. Crystal guard will give you a very bright shine that reflects light while some carnauba waxes will refract that will give you a 3 dimensional effect when looked at a certain angle especially on dark colors (black, blue, red, etc...). Carnauba waxes have a deeper shine than crystal guard IMO.

Yeah, i have been trying that. Their product website does not work and those numbers are either disconnected or no one answers them. As mentioned before, i have even tried the email address.

Maybe they just went out of business?

I finally got some ordered!

Looks like the business is not doing good so the website is down and so are the phones.

I emailed kat@4dmatrix.com (4dmatrix is the distributor i think) and was able to get a maintenance kit.

You can email her and tell that Nabil referred you and she should be able to help.

I still would like to hear from users that have been using CG for 1-2 years.

Good Luck gatordoc

I've been using Crystal Guard Quick for the past year and it is absolutely great. Every time I wash my car (probably once every month) I apply CG Quick.

You can't deny the shine . And that's with my crappy camera phone!

I wanted to try this before I went with Zaino, but I don't like the way I can't order off their site, and Zaino has such a great site with instructions, tips, processes, and advice. I am going to get Zaino, if CG ever gets a better site that actually works I may try it out.
