I am extremely excite to get started with this but so I do not screw up anything I will using it on my jeep first to see some results. That thing has some crazy scratches so if I can make that look descent well then Im good to go. These are the items I got from Detail Image, Sadly I think I forgot to add the discount code for our forum. Let me know if anything else I may need.

Just make sure you have to do this, along with some nicer weather. I work with a professional detailer during the summers when I'm out of school and it gets kind of boring, but some of the cars I get to work on make it worth it.
Everything the people listed above are things you should look into though / get.

Yeah did is mainly just for keeping my car looking good and not really for money making reasons. I may try to learn how to properly buff headlight and remove swirl marks in hope that maybe I can make some cash that way but all in all is for me only. Also thanx guys for the list, I went and order some more items lol.

So i did a really really quick test on jeep to see this stuff in action. I used the porter cable 7424 xp and some poorboy SSR1 i thin it was on a blue pad. first 2 are before and next 2 are after. this was done in about 15 minutes including a really crappy wash and dry. What are your thoughts?
Just curious, why did you use a blue pad? Blue is very fine, good for applying glazes and sealants. For a polish like that, I would think a white pad would be the way to go.
Do you have a 6" backing plate? I couldn't imagine the patience to finish an entire car with 4" pads.
The product descriptions at detailed image are very helpful for best practices.

Yes, the blue pad is super soft...used more so for applying glazes or sealants. Did you clay the car before you started buffing? A good wash, clay bar and stripping of chemicals/wax should be your first steps before any buffing is done. Beef up your inventory and keep up the good work!
Yeah i clayed the entire car and then buffed some. This is what it looked like when I did the Z a few weeks ago. Since then I have bought some more pads and more chemicals that I am looking forward to try.
