Detailing Price Suggestions/Feedback
Ok so here's the deal, I started detailing cars since mid december of last year and have been reading, buying, testing a bunch of things on my Z.
I have gotten great feedback from the work I've done so far. Recently I posted on the regional forums about my services (which was soon deleted lol) and got a couple of text's from a few guys with Z's (both recently purchased) about detailing their cars for them. Ended up not happening because both wanted interiors done along with the exterior as well.
So with that being said I invested $1,000 and bought myself a heated extractor and a metro vac n' blow to get the interior done.
Now here's the question for you all. I used to charge $90 for a complete exterior detail, how much would you guys be willing to pay for both Exterior and Interior details?
I placed my pricing at $150 for coupes and sedans, $180 for Trucks/SUV's
I just want some feedback from you guys, thanks.

is this mobile or do your customers have to come to you
Mobile prices seems reasonable
Drive to prices are closer to some bigger detailing shops
Build your clients would be a better start to reap benefits later

So around the $120-130 margin sound reasonable?
when you say detailing, what are you referring to? Are you talking about a multi-stage process to remove swirl marks/oxidation/other blemishes, or are you talking about a quick polish and wax? If you're talking about the former, then around $200ish sounds good since it is very time consuming. A shop would charge around $400 for a paint correction detail.
I bought a porter cable 7424xp - best purchase I made

but in reality people are lazy or do not have time/know how to do it, you would be surprised what people pay other people to do because they dont want to! structured economics
