Talking More detailing crap form this guy!

Well I he had a few requests from people to include pictures inthe sessions. I decided that i might do another detailing semanar, but this time to focus on the details (where the sessions were a big overview) and include product specific techniques and pictures (and consequently LESS WRITING). Takes the sessions a step further, after knowing what to do, its more of a how to do it. If you guys are interested I might take the time to do this....

I'd also like to say thanks for all the work on the detailing docs.....I had never even heard of using a clay bar until I was on this forum. Now I can't wait to get the car so I can use all this new stuff I've learned.

I need to get a couple of those big blue towels too!

Thanks for all you've already done. If you decide to supply us with additional info, you can bet I'll be reading it.

Your students (us guys and gals on the board), many of whom are probably old enough to be your parents, are ready for you to teach.

Thanks for all the pointers thus far. I am ordering Blackfire today from Proper Auto Care.

I practiced with the Mother's Clay Bar kit on my wife's car last week, and I was amazed at how easy it was to use, and how it removed spots that I couldn't wash off. I then used some Liquid Glass to seal and protect. I was expecting a little more shine out of the Liquid Glass on a gold tone 2001 Accord. My wife was thrilled with how it all turned out, but I was hoping for more deep shine.

I plan on using the clay bar on my Durango next, and will polish and seal with Blackfire. The color is Driftwood which is the popular gray color you on so many of the Dodge's.

I said that a polymer sealant doesnt have as a "mature" a shine as a great wax, that deep, vibrant shine.

I experimented with Liquid Glass on my daughter's Inferno Red Sentra. It looked good on that medium metallic red color. I'll probably start using it on all our everyday cars since it's cheaper and easier to come by than some of the other polymers. Like you, I've got a bottle of Blackfire waiting for my Z.
