What I meant by I wouldn't recommended it to "wash" the whole car with is because that can get expensive, no need to get your panties in a bunch.
What about my post comes off as getting "my panties in a bunch"? Sensitivity to having your idea challenged with a question would suggest that your panites bunched up, actually. Mine are just a little sweaty.

Op, if you can rewash after rain. If not leave it alone. I wouldn't't try to dry it off with rain water on it.

For folks asking about optimum, after you apply this you won't need to wax or seal w anything else. The manufacturer claims it's permanent but I don't think it would last a lifetime. If you ever want to revitalize the opticoat a bit you can always use the optimum spray wax. I have it but haven't had to use it.

I purchased mine from autogeek. Payed like 70$ and get several applications out of it. If you do this to your car make sure it's swirl free and sterile right before application so it bonds properly.

Also, I have tried other surface coatings as well. My fav is exo by gtecniq. It's glossier than opticoat and much smoother/slicker but doesn't last as long.
