Removing Dealer Branding
I have thought about charging the dealer for advertizing- like 50 cents per day....
If the badge is a sticker or decal, then the hair dryer will work- do not put on too much heat or the glue can end up hardening and you will have a mess. BE PATIENT. Use popsicle sticks to lift the decal- that way there is very little chance of scratching the paint- DO NOT PUSH HARD as the paint surface will be softened by the heat.
If the badge is the plastic type (molded), then you can wrap a putty knife blade with a lot of duct tape to cushion the blade and prevent scratches, and gently pry off the badge. You will be left with some residue, which should come off with simple green or the orange stuff. Use the stuff straight from the bottle, and rub really gently until the residue comes loose from the paint, then wash a couple times with water and buff up. Just be patient.
