Probably a stupid question, but the Zaino instructions say that if the ZFX sits in the 2oz. bottles for more than 12 hours, that you can't reuse the container. Does that mean the stuff in the bottle is no longer any good?

Yeah, I think it hardens. I tried my best to clean out the stuff, but I've still got a little residue on the bottom areas. I hope it's okay for future use.

 

how much of the Z2 ,zfx mixture does it take to cover the car once? I am going to do my car on thursday, what other hints do you guys have?

 

I have a thread on this somewhere in the detailing forum..there are a bunch of others too.

Basically, 2 ozs of Z-2 and about 8 drops of ZFX are plenty to cover the Z.

That's one of those small bottles that comes with the ZFX.

 

I have had the same bottles of Zaino since last year and I wax three times a month, so hopefully that should tell ya something

 

This would be a great time to post something lewd along the lines of "It's nice to see a girl who waxes..." but I don't think I'll be the one to do that....or did I?


I hope my Zaino lasts that long. I went from applying too little to probably applying too much..

 

Me too. I setup the ZFX in a full bottle of polish, but only used like half of it after 2 coats! I went from too much to too little! Big waste, but worth the effort.

Hmm, I don't think you will be able to use that bottle of polish anymore. With the ZFX in it, it'll dry up. I think.


That's why they provide those little vials with the ZFX. 2 oz each.

 

I did use the 2oz vial, I just filled it up thinking I would use it all. Only used about 1/2 though.

Thats right, 1/2 of the small bottle is plenty for two coats on the Z. Dont forget to mist your applicator with the gloss spray once in a while, it makes spreading an even and thin coat much easier.

By the way, once you do the initial coat of Zaino and Zfx, it is not necessary to use Zfx next time. I use the Zfx every 2-3 wax sessions (4-9 coats).
