Default swirls again...

hey guys,

i was wondering...
i have some slight swirls and i got some meguires scratch x.
i also got some nxt wax and have two coats on already.

now should i wash my car with dawn to get rid of the nxt and then apply the scratch x to help with swirls....
or can i just use the scratch x on top of the coats of nxt.

thanks in advance

I've only ever used the Scratch-X for fixing a perticular scratch. I've never done it to the whole car. I would try something a little less agressive than the Scratch-x if you need to do the whole car.

Just my $.02 hope it helps,

Dan

Any time you use an abraisive over a wax it will remove the wax in the process, washing with a wax remover is not needed.

I've always used Meguires #9 for light swirls and #2 for Deeper ones. The point you have to remember is to take your time doing it. DON"T use a heavy cleaner unless you know what your doing or you can make the finish alot worse.
