Where can I get microfiber towels for drying/detailing my car with Zaino? I'll probably get 100% cotton terry cloth towels for buffing it off, but right now I am looking for the microfiber towels.

Thanks

http://www.properautocare.com/micprod1.html

I bought mine from ProperAutoCare, had no complaints with service, etc. The other links I got from typing "big blue towel" in a Yahoo! search. The second link looks like it might be the place all the distributors (like ProperAutoCare) get theirs from.

What do people think about the absorber at Walmart? It doesn't leave lint behind and seems to be swirl free. I don't think I want to spend $40 plus shipping for Big blue towel.

Look again. They're not that much.

bhobson333, Which ones do you suggest getting? There are a wide range of towels. I need towels for detailing/drying. I plan on getting towels locally for polishing.

I got one Big Blue Towel, I'll probably end up getting another just to make things easier & do a better job. When water beads on Zaino, there's a LOT of water on the car. Even wringing it out, I end up wishing I had a dry BBT to finish the job. I also might get that water blade that squeegees the water off the car.

I also got a couple of smaller microfiber towels for applying/removing Z6. You want something lint-free for finishing. I'm gonna keep my cotton towels for washing & other dirty work.

I'm not anywhere near an expert, though; that's just what I have done. I've only been using Zaino since about October.

Yeah, I bought a big blue towel, but it got saturated when I just used it alone. I wound up buying a 3 pack of smallish (12x12, or so) microfiber towels from Kmart for around 5 bucks...not bad at all, considering the price of big blue. I use the small one as a sort of chamois, and then do the final dry with big blue. It all works very well. I still use cotton to buff the Zaino off, though.

I've bought several packs of Fieldcrest Charismas from the TN Zaino distributor. He buys them, trims the stiching, cuts to requested size and resews them with cotton thread. His Charismas are $18, which is about $6 less than a full towel costs at the local bed and bath stores.

If interested his e-mail is koverall@cddn.com

What's your treatment process for between washes? Which Zaino product do you use and steps in applying the products.

I live in a dusty area in So. Cal.. My DB Track have the complete Zaino treatment.

I am wondering if I can use the CA Duster (red rag mop with a handle)to clean away the layer of dust and then spray Z6 and wipe on the entire car.

Your thoughts??

I use the California Duster all the time, then I Z-6 it after using the duster. It is a great way to keep it looking good between washes.

If you are referring to Zaino, just go to:

www.zainobros.com

You can get the California Car Duster here:

Most distributors accept internet credit card orders using PayPal. E-mail Zaino and ask who the closest distributor is. wet@zainobros.com

I have a Pikes Peak White that I haven't even washed yet. Will the Zaino still produce a great shine? I've always had black cars. This is my first white one.

Default Do Zaino...

A) My headlights. Actually, I did and they look ok, but didn't know if it is not recomended.

B) My windows? Will it help "bead" water? Or should I go Rain-X or something else?

I use the Z-6 on the windows and not only do they shine like crazy but they tend to repell water better than Rain-X. I use whatever I use on the paint on the lights and the rims as well.

Default clear bra cleaner and zaino

I recently zainoed my car and am very plesaed with the results. when i bought my car, i added the clear bra. the problem with the clear bra is that grime collects along the line where the 3m product ends. the installer got me a 3m citrus base cleaner for this problem. my question is what would this cleaner do to the zaino layers? thanks for your input.
